I have had a immense amount of musical influences throughout my life. The most prestigious of them all being Tupac Shakur. As a poet, I was always able to connect with his words and the stories he would tell in him music. His influence on me and my music are collasal. I connected with his songs in a way I felt I could with no other artist. In addition to him, Boys II Men became my most influential R&B favorite. To me, it was all about what you said and how you said it. Boys II Men mastered both. Their music created a warphole for me to escape when I couldn't get away from the hardships of everyday life. But in my own music, you will hear Brandy a great deal. Even today, her vocals and musicality are unlike any artist I have heard. There was also Destiny's Child, Toni Braxton, Kelly Price, Prince, Michael Jackson, Janet, TLC, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, D'Angelo, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, The Lox, Smokey Norful, Ahmad, DMX, Dru Hill, Aaliyah, and so many more. My music has been impacted by each of these artists and groups in a different way. Some even transformed me spiritually as a person, making me wiser, stronger, and smarter. And like most of these artists, I want to impact music in a fantastic way; conquer music and art in all its vastness.
When I step on stage, I come alive, so the sky is no longer the limit for me. I genuinely believe I can change the world, and so I will set out to do it. I have learned that good things come to those who wait, but great things are taken by those who truly want it. With that, I have decided to take the world by storm. I've always had a passion for music, but having a passion for living has helped me to appreciate music and those affiliated with it. I try to be greatful for everything and everyone around me. Taking advantage can be a detrimental music created a warphole for me to escape when I couldn't get away from the hardships of everyday disadvantage. There will always be battles to fight, but be a great person and you'll always win.
